'Sup party people! I'm here to learn more about socionics and disprove stereotypes about IEIs being lazy poet effetes. I'm more of a go-getter busybody than an abstract dreamer in real life and used to think I was an MBTI ISTJ for that reason. Turns out I was just insecure about NF descriptions constantly hitting my Te PoLR.
"What do you mean I don't live in the real world? Are you accusing me of something? Bitch put me up to the task and I swear to god I can real world it up with the best of them. Being efficient and understanding how to do processes correctly is VERY DIFFICULT BUSINESS, do you think I back down from things just because they are difficult? Do you think I'm lazy? I WORK HARD AT THINGS THAT ARE VERY HARD TO UNDERSTAND I AM NOT LAZY"
The fact that I considered my Te successes as points of pride rather than everyday functioning should've probably been a tip-off, but that sort of counter-intuitive thinking is, to me, the reason why these personality typing systems can be handy and not just yummy brain junk food. Thinking "hey, this sounds like that socionics thing" helps put a small bit of distance between me and my frustrated emotions even if it's not necessarily applicable to the situation. I still have trouble appealing to processes like Ne/Si when I'm interacting with people (shoutout to delta quadra), so sticking around a bit longer with the theory might help me notice those patterns and let me react to them better.
On a side note, I'm fairly knowledgable in enneagram and have the ultimate boring person tritype of 6w7 3w2 9w1 So/Sp. Phobic 6w7, to be exact. I take reverse-hipster pride in it. Typing other people can be tricky with that, but I've actually used my knowledge of Type 6 patterns to stop myself from going into negative emotional loops. Overall a positive impact on my life even if it's annoying when I'm watching a TV show and my brain starts trying to sort everyone.
