I'm trying to get a good handle on the difference between objects and relationships., but I can't find any good fundamental definitions of either. Philosophically, an object is anything that exists outside of the subject, but I don't know if this definition holds true for socionics. I feel like I can look at a relationship as an object and vice versa. For example, the relationship between husband and wife is the object of marriage. Also, the object that is my computer is the relationship between the sense data perceived by my brain and my brain that is perceiving it.
I've tried to come up with my own definitions as well. "An object is a discretization of reality" and "A relationship is a continuation of reality", meaning objects separate out parts of reality from the whole while relationships connect parts of reality to the whole. The problem with these is I feel like objects can always be broken up into smaller objects, as in, computer to parts, parts to materials, materials to molecules, molecules to atoms and so on.
Does anyone have any solid definitions of these fundamental axioms of socionics?
