I have now made a list of the 1000 or so most significant people to have lived at any point during the 20th century.
The people are ordered firstly by date of death, as I thought this would be more appropriate, and then by date of birth if they are still living.
It is not known definitively when the Zodiac Killer was born or if this person is dead, so I have given an estimated date of birth and assumed they are still alive.
I added Nicholas II of Russia and Pope Francis even though they are not in the ranking.
There are actually 1010 people in the list, because there were a number of ties.
