Hello!
I would like some third-party input as to what kind of relations my friend and I could have...
I'll give a few scenarios (:
1) The first would be when S (my friend) and I, were supposed to go for a show together. Right before the show started, he asked if he could smuggle his hot drink using my handbag into the theater, as outside drinks weren't allowed. I was kind of offended, cause it didn't seem very considerate of him. But I didn't say anything, and only thought of how the cup could topple over and soil my bag, which meant that it needed to be wrapped snugly in a paper bag first, before being put inside my bag. So I told him to do so, which he then did.
Before the show started, he turned towards me and started talking to me about the temperature of the hot drink. Minutes later, he turned back to me and talked about how cool the drink had become. I wasn't very interested in talking about the temperatures of drinks, and wanted to focus more on getting to know him better as a person. So, I didn't react very positively...
2) Another scenario would be of him talking about the weather to me. I find it boring to talk about the weather, and prefer talking about ideas and dreams.
3) He is a very laid-back person, and there was once whereby he was taking a glass elevator down my apartment after sending me off at my place. Right when he was about to head down, my Mom opened the door for me, and came face to face with him in the elevator. I had expected him to at least do some sort of greeting since she is his senior, but he still continued in his laid-back resting position while staring at my Mom. I was kind of offended by that... but didn't mention it to him.
4) Sometimes he sounds irritated, and acts upset - and I would ask him why... But he would brush it off as me being too sensitive.
5) I often expect things from him, which he wouldn't be able to fulfill, thus disappointing me a lot.
6) The good sides to our interactions would be when he displays his humor, and when he listens to me and makes me feel accepted for who I am. Also, he brings me out of my whining, and back to reality by reminding me of the facts. He grounds me a lot too. Plus, he is really comfortable to be around, we think a like on certain things, have similar beliefs, and he is brilliant at what I'm only sub-par at - he is able to see things objectively and understand things easily, while being very eloquent at expressing his views. I on the other hand, have trouble being completely objective, take a longer time to understand stuff, and am not that eloquent at relaying my thoughts.
Yup.
What does my relation with my friend sound like? It would be nice to hear your views (:
