The universe has a temporary finite degree of potential interactions that can occur within it. Changes to the structure of the universe may slowly expand the potential outcomes within the universe (specifically if energy is leaked into the universe from other universes).
The self is essentially a layered infinity, within a defined framework which restricts its potentials around its framework. You have the conscious, egoic framework (the inner me) the unconscious perceptual framework (which is essentially everything external of the consciousness) and the subconscious in which these two frameworks are constantly interacting within. The external world isn’t material, but actually synchronistic shared perceptual reality. For example, say there are two people… person A and person B. Person A exists within the unconscious of person B, and person B exists within the unconscious of person A. The subconscious works by interacting a conscious component with an unconscious component.
As there is only a finite amount of potential interactions that the universe could have undergone, there is a finite amount of alternative universes that the extra dimensional component of the unconscious can contain, or a finite amount of potential rules sets that the conscious mind can comprehend. These alternate realities are real, and from our perspective they make up the intuitive component of our mind (déjà vu, feelings of trends). The self can also flip between different realities in order to main observation coherency. Person A may meet numerous versions of person B (B1, B2, B3, B10000000000), yet the differences are so subtle that Person A is unaware that they are flipping between universes.
Now I said the self was layered infinity, meaning a portion of the self is undefined. The interactions between the different universes actually expand the potential outcomes. As the self actually flips between different universes, new universes arise to fill the individuals unconscious. The framework that constricts the self is altered changing the rule sets of the self. Different interactions between different universes create new potential outcomes which in turn create new universes.
