So we have narrowed down my type on the forum to mostly a battle between LII and ILE. Let's see if we can't find a way to break this standoff. In some ways I can relate more to LII for being more of a "J" type in that I'm highly conscientious, organized and structured. I live in that way and I get annoyed by shit disrupting my order. But I'm not 'that' picky. LII descriptions state they tend to have slow movement and gait. I do not, by a longshot.
So, on the other hand, some of the LII descriptions feel "off." They don't fit. I can relate a bit more to ILE overall, I'd say. It fits better when we break down the functions as a whole and ignore the 4 letters. For example, being a "perceiving" type or EP temperament, I don't know if that really fits. Cat-like movements? Maybe...? In general, I tend to talk a lot (hell, even my video I rambled for like 20+ minutes about basically nothing) and prefer introverted women for partners since I can take the lead and talk more. I enjoy being able to share my knowledge with people, including partners. And I like to hear myself talk as well, so there's that.
The trouble with ILE is that I don't really feel that "random" or "zany" however. I'm anything but random and am actually pretty predictable most of the time. I follow a pretty regimented schedule and I plan everything I do weeks in advance before I do it. I find too much of a schedule can cramp my style, but complete chaos and disorder drives me insane. If anything most people who know me well might say I'm too serious to be an ILE and I think they may have a point.
So it's a weird place to be - LII has the structure and organization that I definitely have but ILE has the more talkative, energetic vibe that I have in everyday life. I move fast, talk fast, drive fast and have no patience for anything that takes a great deal of time in real life. I don't like to be kept waiting because my time is valuable. Patience is definitely not my strong suit. I'm also not lazy and tend to work hard, often skipping breaks when I'm busy because finishing what I started is more important. I find the whole Ne thing about being unable to focus on one task to be completely untrue and I have to finish everything I start. I hate leaving shit unfinished.
For years in the shitty online tests (before I ever go around to studying the cognitive functions in Jung) I typed as ENFJ. Maybe I'm just a very serious EIE... or perhaps just a very serious ethical/feeling type in general? This is quite the conundrum. So I am willing to entertain any type if the reasoning is strong and well-supported, but for the most part, I we are trying to determine LII vs ILE.
Any good resources I can peruse to determine my type in this regard?
Thanks.
