Introduction for Guy

Hello. My name is Guy. I'm new to the16types forum as of Jan 24, 2018. I've been reading about this stuff for almost a year and finally got around to making an account. For some reason, I thought there was a price to make one, but ha ha turns out no there isn't.

There is a story about how I arrived here, but it's really long and has a lot of parts to it that I don't need to share. I've been writing it all down in a book that I plan to finish in the next few months (really just a google doc, but I call it a book). The basic premise of it is I had a really bad experience in a relationship with another human being of the opposite gender and I did a lot of awful, ungodly things over the course of the relationship, and especially at the end. It turns out that it was a supervision relationship in which I played the role of the supervisee, and at the time I didn't know what the heck that meant and I was really fucked up in the head by the end of all of it. We were rather close, too much.

While putting myself together from the depths of hell, I discovered Socionics and the intertype relations and identified our relationship as supervision BECAUSE reading about it made me suddenly understand the psychological basis behind all of our misconstrued communication and my feelings of suppression. Then, I began trying to identify the types of my peers in high school (I was graduating at the time) and made a lot of false assumptions, but I gradually became more confident in my insights over the summer and in college. I can tell you off the top of my head the kind of relationship that exists between any two types (I don't know any subtypes). Just recently, I started a list in my phone of all the types I know, including a section of famous people.

Other than that probably too long introduction, some things I'll share with you are my favorite musical artists: Iron & Wine, Elliott Smith, The Beatles, Duster, etc. My favorite hobbies: writing, contemplating stuff, guitar (not super skilled, but hoping to focus more on that soon). I shoot hoops alone at a basketball court near my house when the weather is good. I used to go on adventures at 2 am by myself and smoke weed and listen to The Creek Drank the Cradle (most peaceful times of my life, but that is over for now). I am pretty much a loner, but I also get along with a lot of people. I work at the movie theater. My favorite movies are The Revenant, 10 Cloverfield Lane, Manchester by the Sea, Interstellar, etc. My favorite books are The Bell Jar and The Sound and the Fury. The coolest places I've traveled is the Rocky Mountains, Virginia Beach, and a cruise by the Bahamas.

My name is Guy and I'm very new to online communities. I hope I didn't say too much about type in my introduction. Thanks for reading.
