Whether i am emotionally involving myself in something, or trying to logically dissect it, i am focusing on 'why i am doing it or what leads me to think in this way' while also studying the thing i'm interested in, in a sort of detached metacognitive way. It leads me to become very distanced and oddly 'trapped' in my own mind. (Ni base with Se seeking?) I think one of the reasons i find it so hard to type myself is that i am over-aware of my own processing of the external world, and how i interpret it, which muddles 'pure experience' so to speak. Self-reflection always comes with the burden of knowing you're reflecting, and being aware how your reflections affect yourself in an infinite cycle etc. This 'over-awareness' of own motivations and 'why i am thinking or feeling particular things' and then trying to systematize THAT and so on...
So is this style of thinking bound to any element(s) in particular? Is it an attribute of IEI, since my general impression of Ni+Ti working together in that type is 'self reflection on images and thoughts, trying to put them together in coherent system, trying to justify why the trends in thinking and feeling are as such'.
Help much appreciated, and i hope that this will help others! (put it under general discussion as this pertains to the general nature of the IE's moreso than specifically my own typing)
