Do you find some relations of benefit resemble one another?

Sometimes I find it hard to differentiate between LIE and SLE.
Do benefactors and beneficiaries resemble one another?

I don't think there are any circumstances I could ever appear as an SLE or IEE but I'm curious if others confuse these types for one another.
