Type me bitches! I trust I have enough of a following here for it to come by itself. But if I don't, throw the questions at me!

Lungs - 6w5 or 6w7

I self typed 6w5 for a long time because I'm a hard core introvert and kinda cerebral and cynical and not anything like a core 7, but since a few people have suggested otherwise I'm thinking I could have been relying too much on stereotypes. As far as motivations, my response to stress is less hunkering down & reading about my problems and more about activity, getting my mind off it, going to the bar. I'm distant and cool with people I don't know, but with close ones I can be sort of bubbly and a nervous babbler. What do you think?

How to part with a dual?

$

0
Yes I know socionics is partly about how to not part with a dual but there can be circumstances in one's life when dual relations can be very time consuming and in need of a lot of mental energy and attention, specially when you are an LIE in your "cave" updating yourself to represent a new version of you later and don't want someone fixing things for you or subtly pushing you in directions they think is for the greater good. What if a dual betrays you?

When you want to part with them when you are close, they close the distance, call you talk to you for a long time, if you avoid answering they ask about you, avoid conflict to an extent of not wanting to deeper analyze what went wrong, distract you from the issue, offer you something new to research about, and just don't want to see you upset or lose you. Distancing from such a person can be as difficult as peeling your skin, but what if one has to do it? How do you deal with it afterwards? Is there a better strategy to temporarily push your dual out of your life, alongside everyone, without hurting them and yourself?

This is I think the downside of duality, one becomes dependent to a point of not being able to push the other away even if it is better that way!

SLEs and cars

Why do SLEs on facebook always show off pictures of their cool looking cars and why am I always pathetically very impressed by this? It's pretty shallow and juvenile, objectively speaking.

So the Slytherins have a thread, and they challenged the Gryffindors to make one. I'm not quite a Gryffindor, but it seems to me that the Ravenclaws have the greatest claim to socionics.
While the Slytherins seem to have dedicated their thread to clothes, I suggest ours be dedicated to puzzles and riddles.

Long Tritype Test

This test is fairly long, for it has 72 questions/elements, but so far it has proven to be rather accurate.

What's your result?

P.S: It only gives you the main types in the tritype, not their order or any wings.

Conflict Relations Mother- Daughter Shaping Sense of Self

Has anyone else experienced this? Having this constant self doubt in your skills based on them always being seen as useless and unimportant.

I strongly feel that that shaped how I see myself, and it makes it harder when I meet her and she triggers all those feelings of unworthiness.

I am INFj and she is ENTp, and every time I try to explain my reasoning she thinks I am being dramatic or harsh. The only way we can have interactions is on a superficial level, carefully making sure not to step on each other's toes. It is exhausting.

For example, I cannot talk about my baby's need to sleep because she makes fun of me for being neurotic (Si), or not being able to play with her enough, which she get's extremely touchy about. If only she could see my side that I am trying to do what's best for my daughter... But she always get's annoyed by me. I try to cater to her as much as I could, but it is strained and we even have to promise each other that 'We won't fight" when we go out together.

Any suggestions or similar experiences?

EIIs and procrastination

Hey guys! I've been wondering about it for a while - do you also procrastinate a lot? I've been like that ever since I can remember, always taking care of pleasant things first and having troubles with getting down to work. I also distract very easily and rarely get all the things done because of that. :c I wish it were easier to discipline myself to do what I have to, but it seems almost impossible. Heck, I'm procrastinating even at this very moment - I should be studying right now. ;_; Are there any organised EIIs who do not experience this or is it simply typical for us?

You know what's going on. Your take on it?

Earlier this morning German media were speaking of a second Watergate  Also bearing in mind things are determined by the mid-term elections and who will be the new person in charge of the FBI.

Are you brilliant?

Blindspot instinct (non)exposure ?

I was musing on how, despite being very sp-last, my parents both have it in their stacking: I grew up being used to the idea that a certain person just shouldn't be bothered for hours at a time, but also w/ the feeling that this was sort of enforced or maybe a luxury, and now that my parents have a nice home it's sort of works as this place where each person can go into their particular nook for a while and do work or read or amuse themselves with videos or whatever, and if you want to interact you can but if you want to be alone it would never be taken personally.

I was surprised b/c I've been working in an office consistently for the first time, and my coworkers seem to take it personally if i don't want to have conversations, or if I want to eat lunch alone (mostly due to money/convenience/whatever). It usually has more to do with exhaustion than w/ them. my boss (whom i love) likes to keep things exciting in the office, so that no one gets bored... only, I don't mind just working, I'm much less tired when I get home. b/c i am quiet, my coworkers joke that i dislike them.

My boss repeatedly told me that i'm nice but quiet and not very forthcoming, so I actually asked him what his friends and family were like... he said that everyone is loud and participatory. It sort of reminded me of how... when I was a kid I was always acutely aware of being irresponsible/unfocused compared to my family, but later on I met sp-last people who'd grown in environments where it was considered unmaterialistic or living to the fullest to just do sp as little as possible, and they didn't really even have an awareness that this other part of life existed, which might be either good or bad. Not that sp-last people don't have to eat or make money, but there isn't as much...nuance (?) around those choices, it's more sort of... literal how it all gets carried out. My former roommate, when she met my sp/sx ex, thought that he was "really unique" because she rarely met someone who didn't immediately look up when a stranger entered the room (he was focusing on something on his computer). For my boss, the only reason he would not answer an email is if he didn't like a person, so when I forgot to answer an email from him once he took it as personal rejection.

Anyway, I wondered about...environment, and how weird (or not weird??) it might be to never be exposed to your blindspot instinct at all. Is it even possible?

A musical film about loneliness and alienation. Kind of like a rock 'n' roll Taxi Driver. Main character Pink is, I believe, an IxI 5w4 contra-flow. Opinions?
