Can you guys help me type my friend, thanks!
Tell me about yourself.
I’m a student, son, boyfriend, and future leader. I enjoy watching movies, anime, reading, dancing, playing and watching sports, documentaries, playing video games, learning about the enneagram, mbti, socionics, politics, philosophy, playing chess, history, and science. In mbti, I am an INTJ or ENTJ and 3w4 so/sp (358 tritype) in the enneagram. This might be weird, but I model myself after people like Barack Obama, Hillary Clinton, Bill Gates, Warren Buffet and Abraham Lincoln and fictional characters like Light Yagami (Death Note), Michael Corleone (The Godfather), Lelouch (Code Geass), Itachi and Sasuke Uchiha (Naruto).
What do you study or do for a living? How did you come to do that? What do you like or dislike about it?
I’m currently a student in college and studying economics/political science. I also intern at JP Morgan as a financial analyst. I decided to study economics/political science because I’m thinking of becoming either a banker or politician. Those two positions are ways that I can amass the power and resources to affect the country/world to my liking. I also don’t want to be dependent on anybody as it limits the control that I have over my life. I’m kind of obsessed with politics, some people would call me a political junkie, as for banking, it’s a means to an end. I like politics because it involves real time tactics, ideological differences, and it allows you to affect the world. I’m really indifferent to economics and banking for the most part, though like politics I enjoy the power dynamics involved in the profession.
What are your values, and why?
Honesty, being inclusive, accepting, forethought, respectful, not being a bigot, making decisions while taking other people into account, consensus, conscientious, and loyalty to those that you care about.
What else do you do on a daily basis? What are your interests and hobbies? Why do you do them?
Usually I go to class, work, study, hang out with friends, research socionics, read today’s news, listen to Sam Seder, work out, eat, and sleep lol.
Politics is a personal hobby of mine. I can have extended conversations about it for hours at a time. I love politics mainly because of the different power dynamics that involved in it. Also, a part of me has always been interested in politics--that's the part of me that wants to save the world. I believe that some of the most daunting challenges in the world today--poverty, disease, war--can be solved if people can put aside their petty differences and preconceived notions and do what they know to be right for the world/country. I’m also interested in history, philosophy, science, dancing, music, and coding.
Describe your relations with family and friends. What do you like and dislike about them?
I have a love-hate relationship with my family lol. While everything I do is with them in mind, I can’t but think at times how clueless they are. They are concerned about trivial matters that don’t matter in the long run. They are very much like the general population at least in America. As for my friends, while I don’t have many of them, they are probably the people that know me the best. We do everything together including partying, smoking, going out, and confiding each other. My friends make me feel as if I’m a part of something more than myself. At the same time, no one truly knows who I am, because I always put up an emotional barrier. I’m very stoic in that I never complain about issues that I have and tend to resolve them myself without the help of anyone. I rarely ask for help or confide with my family, friends, or acquaintances. So, in a sense I’m never vulnerable with anyone and because of that no one in my life really knows who I am.
What do you look for in friends? In romantic relationships?
In friendships, I tend to look for an intellectual equal and someone who isn’t afraid to challenge me. Someone who is reasonable, open minded, has a quality that I might be lacking, sarcastic, witty, a person that I can learn from, shares similar values and interests.
In romantic relationships, I tend to look for someone that is charming, funny, intelligent, independent, someone I can feel completely vulnerable with, honest, farsighted, emotionally supportive, and is able to create an emotional atmosphere, because I can’t do that myself.
What conflicts have you encountered recently with other people? Why did they happen? Which kinds seem to happen on a regular basis?
Usually conflicts arise because I’m either too standoffish, arrogant, emotionally insensitive, logical, greedy, selfish, and etc. It could also be that the other person is impulsive, annoying, too emotional, irrational, invasive of my space, disrespectful, and controlling.
How would your friends describe you?
My friends tend to think that I am Intelligent, clever, farsighted, ambitious, charming when I want to be, confident, tough-minded, protective, analytical, inclusive, and a loyal person.
My acquaintances don’t agree though, some think I'm an arrogant asshole who knows everything, others think I'm nice, charming dude and some think I'm quiet and boring .
What do people generally see as your strengths? What do you like about yourself?
Intelligence, cleverness, thinking before acting, ambitious, charming when I want to be, a planner. confident, tough-minded, protective, analytical, inclusive, loyal person, assertive principled in my values, and conscientious. While I may come off cynically at first, I’m actually quite optimistic about the future.
What are your weaknesses? What criticism do you often face from others? What do you dislike about yourself?
Being arrogant, argumentative, condescending towards people, not being able to relax, I can be selfish at times being vulnerable, power hungry, lack of emotional awareness at times, emotionally closed off to friends and family, and antisocial at times as well.
In what areas of life can you manage well on your own? In what areas of your life would you like help?
Opening up to people emotionally and vulnerable with them. I've been told that at times I can be extremely cold and unapproachable. Also, I need to learn how to be laid back and less uptight lol.
What things do you find to be a chore? What things do you enjoy more than others?
Being an intern, paying bills, the usual chores around the house. I enjoy learning, reading, hanging out with friends, playing sports, dancing, and etc..
What goals, aspirations, or plans do you have for the future? How did you come to have them?
This might be a bit ambitious, but I want to be a leader of some sort, whether that be in the business or political world, maybe even run for president lol. Also, to create a better a life for my loved ones and those around me. I also want to make a positive impact on the world and also create a family dynasty similar to the Kennedy’s and Bush’s. Furthermore, I want to integrate the world more as a means of increasing cooperation between nations and decreasing the likelihood of conflict/war. Helping third world countries out of poverty, helping people in my own country (United States) out of poverty and have access to healthcare/higher education.
As to how I came to these goals, I’ve always been attentive to world affairs and the world’s always been filled with war, poverty, unnecessary conflict. Instead of people uniting, they instead choose to bring each other down out of greed for money, power, and material possessions. Instead of society progressing to the point where every child has access to healthcare, food, clean drinking water and education, there are still people out there that want to drag us a century back. I want to change the world for the better and make us think of each other as individuals, but rather as a collective family. In order to live up to my ideals, power is necessary. Justice without power is empty but power without justice is only violence.
If you had enough money to live comfortably for the rest of your life without working, what would you do with your time?
I would probably still be involved in politics, starting my own charity foundation, donate money to think tanks, universities, investing my money in businesses, and political campaigns.
What traits do you find endearing that others might dislike? What traits to tend to annoy you?
Combativeness, being standoffish, cold, stoic, and iconoclastic are some traits that other’s dislike, that I like.
Overly emotional people, stupidity, willful ignorance, hate, bigotry, tribalism, people who don’t think about how their actions will affect others or the future, zealousness, lack of loyalty, and weakness tend to annoy me.
What kinds of things do you do to manage and/or beautify your environment (your room, your house, etc.)? What do you think of daily chores?
I’m not really concerned with that for the most part. I hate daily chores, but they are necessary.
How do you behave around strangers?
A bit more reserved/observing until I got the know group dynamics, also I try to be extremely polite and accommodating on the outwardly. I also try to be more extroverted than I usually am. Inwardly however, I judge people on their comments, politeness, intelligence, beliefs, actions for the most part.
How do you react to conflict? What do you do if somebody insults or attacks you?
Usually I try to avoid conflict if it’s not in my best interest, however if it’s necessary I never back down. In terms of debating and intellectual discussions, I am almost always confrontational and condescending.
My first instinct when someone insults me is to destroy and put them in their place. However, I try diplomacy first, if that doesn’t work then I don’t mind asserting myself.
What is one common misconception that people have? Explain why it is wrong.
Most people assume that politics in the United States is extremely corrupt, hence they elected Donald Trump. While the US does have some corruption, compared to other countries, America is still head and shoulders above their competitors. I just think people are nihilistic and extremely cynical, which leads to this world view, i.e. Conspiracy theories.
What did you do last Friday?
I went to class early in the morning, then I went to play soccer with a couple of my buddies, then we had brunch. We smoked weed for a bit and got lunch. Later I showered, smoked again, then pre-drank and went to a concert.
What was your high school experience like?
I wasn’t the most popular kid, but I knew most people. High school was fun because there weren’t any clicks, like there were in middle school. Everyone got along with each other for the most part. I was a bit of loner and introverted, but I got along with most people. Playing on a team, also was important because it made me feel like I was a part of something bigger than myself.
Talk about a significant event from your life.
When I found out my dad was having an affair with another woman. I just could never look at my dad in the same light anymore. It angered me because I felt as though he betrayed my mother, our family, and most importantly the trust that I had in him. This even caused me to become extremely cynical about people, socially isolated, introverted, dislike my dad for a while.
Do you like kids? Why or why not?
Yes of course, because they show me that deep down human beings are essentially good. They represent people before being corrupted by the world around them. Also, they are so cute lol!
If you were to raise a child, what would be your main concerns, what measures would you take, and why?
I would want my child to have a proper education and also develop into healthy self-esteem. I would also worry about demanding too much perfection from my child. Also, get the balance between being overly strict and giving them enough freedom to fully express themselves.
Ever feel stuck in a rut? If yes, describe the causes and your reaction to it.
Whenever I can’t reach my goals, it causes me to be critical of myself. I also start doubting myself, which causes me feel ashamed and vulnerable. It causes me to become depressive and cynical.
How do you see other people as a whole? What do you consider a prevalent social problem? Name one.
Until recently, I held a very cynical outlook on humanity and even considered myself a nihilist of some sort. However, I have faith in humans to make the necessary progress to ensure our survival. I truly believe that most people are good and well intentioned in most cases, even when it doesn’t seem that way. While I still hold that view, I also think most people are too naive, emotional, and irrational in most cases.
I view global warming as the most prevalent social problem.
What do you do if you're not getting what you want? What approach do you use?
I get extremely angry, because I have no control over the situation. Also, I feel incredibly powerless and dominated by another person/institution. I am persistent in getting what I want and I’ll use any means to get what I want, whether that includes diplomacy persuasion, charm, force, coercion, and sadly at times cheating. Thought this only involves things that I care about deeply.
Are you comfortable taking leadership roles? In what areas? Why or why not?
I’m comfortable taking on leadership roles, but usually I let some extrovert get the title of leader, but I’m the one pulling the strings behind the scenes. I don’t like all the bravado that comes with the title, I care more about the substance. For example, someone like Hillary Clinton isn’t the most charismatic person, but she is qualified and competent for the job.
How often do you get angry? What kinds of things make you angry?
I get angry often, but this mainly due to me being impatient and always wanting my way. I ABSOLUTELY hate repeating myself or doing something repetitive. When people are overly sensitive, irrational, willfully ignorant, hateful, bigoted, tribal, disloyal, incompetent, and closed minded anger me to no end lol.
What is the best thing that happened to you during the past week?
My favorite boxer Gennady Golovkin won are tough fight, James Comey announced that the FBI is investigating the Trump administration
What is the worst thing that happened to you during the past week?
Seeing Donald Trump act a buffoon and disgracing the office of the presidency. Duke was eliminated in the NCAA tournament. The terrorist attack in the UK parliament.
What is the purpose of life? What do you find personally meaningful in life?
As for the purpose of life, I don’t think there is any in the absolute sense. The purpose of life is up to the individual to pursue. As for me, the purpose of life is make sure that you leave the world in better place than you were born into and that can be attained in any way you think of contributing to the world.
What is the most interesting place you have been, and why?
Florence, Italy. Florence has so much history about the renaissance, which is my favorite time period in history. I got to go the house of the Medici family, Machiavelli’s farm where he wrote the Prince, and see the statue of David. The architecture and art of the city is unique. The people there are hospitable and extremely helpful. It’s a perfect place to relax for a vacation.
How do you dress or manage your appearance?
I take a look at mirror before leaving home that’s how I manage. I’m self-conscious about the way I look and I can take up to a 1 hour just getting dressed. Everything has to match and be perfect. I usually dress in dark colors (black, blue, brown, red, and etc.…), the only light colors that I wear are white and pink. As for my hair, I absolutely love it lol! I’ve been growing it for the last 4 years and I’m obsessed with my Viking style man bun, which might be weird for a guy, but whatever.
Do you like surprises?
I don’t like surprises, because I have no control over the outcome. I like everything to be pre-planned and in a controlled setting. Surprises throw me off, because I’m not spontaneous.
Tell me about yourself.
