Reddit ISFj type description

I have not read this in great detail--leaving it up to Gammas to sift through.
The Fi,Se type in MBTI is called ISFP.

https://www.reddit.com/r/mbti/commen..._look_at_isfp/

The FiS type in my opinion is the most misunderstood type in the typology community, followed by ISTJ. According to intertype relationships, ISFP is the type I should understand the least so this will be as much of a challenge for me as for you.

By the way when I say ISFP in this post I am referring to ISFP-ESI. Fi-Se. There are statically only 16 types in my model and even though comparing most descriptions ISFP corresponds more or less to SEI, by convention I relate them that way and to Jung's Fi type with auxiliary sensing. Oh and obviously, when I said “followed by ISTJ” I’m referring to the SiT type ;)

You can simply see how they’re the most misunderstood if you compare all the Myers or 16p profiles with its functional correspondent in socionics, you'll see that ISFP differs the most from ESI. They are two extremes that are both wrong in their own way, in reality ISFPs are only in the middle spectrum of it.

The way I see ISFP is as some sort of ethical guardian, dominant Fi gives them really strong values that they stand up for and auxiliary Se is a tool for them to directly implement them into concrete action. Their mission is to take direct steps at punishing evil and injustice, or alternatively, at promoting goodness and justice in the world by concrete actions. This would then mean they have a superhero main character ego if my assumptions are correct, which could also fit with the MBTI-based “main character” stereotype as well as the socionics upholder of traditions stereotype.

It is often said their life mission is to "paint/color the world around them with their values" or something like that; Couldn't be any more true, but you have to look at the other side of what that statement implies as well: Painting the world around you with values could mean being artistic or whatever but could as well imply being the critical granny who imposes politeness and manners strictly onto kids. “Painting” quickly turns into imposing and the colorful “values” quickly turn into traditions and manners. Both of these kinds of people are ISFPs. What your cognitive functions determine is simply what kind of information you work with and how, how it manifests more specifically and in what context is heavily affected by subtype, culture, age/generation… etc…

I’d still disagree on the extreme of the ultimate upholder of traditions ESI stereotype, just look at this description I found by… Reinin I think? Source

“Ethical-sensoric introverts (ESI) are real stoics and guardians of moral principles of society. There are many lawyers, investigators, doctors and teachers among them. ESI women are known for upholding family values, and bearing the burden of a career, house chores and raising children without a complaint.”

This probably only applies to the minority of 5-6% ISFPs in the world, not even my mother (who is the kind of traditional/conservative ISFP) would relate completely to that description and agree it’s an accurate representation of her overall personality (although reading all 16 on that link she’d probably relate to ISFP the most).

Another one of this double perspective methods can be applied as well to other stuff. Read carefully because the next few paragraphs are important: It’s often said ISFPs are poets or artists, metaphorical and expressive. Sure, it is correct, but it doesn’t always manifest how you think. It can look deep and artistic as in “this act represents an expression of that boy’s soul blah blah poetic shit” but it might as well manifest the other way, I’ll give a real life example: My ISFP history teacher got mad one day because (in her opinion) of my own impoliteness and lack of ceremoniousness, the bell didn’t ring yet and she didn’t leave the class but there were still 3-4 minutes left; my Ne-Ti said that the logical priority is to prepare to pack my stuff in the backpack earlier by now because we stopped writing and were only talking (didn’t need my books on the table from that point in time on), her Fi fed by Ni metaphors/symbolism said that this represents a sign of disrespect for the teacher, even though it’s logically efficient to pack your stuff minutes before so that you can get out of class, and, thus, save time (my Ti), this doesn’t matter to the ISFP, this represents to them a sign of disrespect that you want to get out of there faster because you don’t care about what the teacher’s saying (her Fi).

An ISFP’s thought process will start at Ni (metaphors/associations), get filtered through Fi (“the symbolism of your act represents a sign of disrespect for the teacher!”) and gets out/implemented through Se (concrete forceful action aimed towards teaching a Fi lesson: “YOU DISRESPECTFUL LITTLE SHIT YOU’RE GONNA GET DETENTION!”).

An ENTP’s thought process will start at Fe (“Am I hurting anybody? It doesn’t seem so.”), get filtered through Ne (“Ok the possibilities are as follows: I could wait until the class ends or I could start packing my things up by now or I could… etc.”) and gets implemented through Ti (logical prioritizing: “I waste less time if I start packing my things up now and not later thus allowing me to do more things thus it logically follows that it’s best to pack my things now”).

In reality those are simply two different approaches and neither were wrong, it just shows the incompatibility between NTPs and ISFPs. So, are ISFPs poetic artists? Yes, their thought process shows so. Are they ethical guardians of tradition? It seems like they are as that as well, or at least that’s how it looks from the outside.

Also sociotype.com suggests they’re confrontational. I’ll analyze the conception of how ESIs are confrontational or not and in what ways. As u/peppermint-kiss said, while ISFPs may endure physical confrontation more than, say, INFPs even INFPs are generally more confrontational than ISFPs. Their Se is supervised by Fi so that means that Se won’t freely do what it wants but will obey what Fi tells Se to do (in an ISFP), so while they can be, most of the time they simply are not because usually the agenda of Fi doesn’t require being so. The way they use Se is to output Fi’s goal so I’d rather say they can be strict, severe or punishing (they CAN BE, that doesn’t mean that all of them are but let’s say about half of them are), but they won’t be confrontational unless the situation requires them to, and most of the time the situation doesn’t require them to, you need to push them REALLY hard for them to lose control or become violent or aggressive.

Also, they are probably the least confrontational type with people they don’t know well, although willing to have a civilized discussion, they’ll only raise a scandal if it’s for protecting/standing up for a friend (so the person is not affiliated with the ISFP) or when they have no affiliation with the person (that doesn’t mean if they’re strangers but it means if they have “nothing to do” with that person, for example the more they want to get something out of that situation/the more it is important to them, the less likely they are to raise a scandal or become confrontational with people they label as “them” and not “our own”). And if it hasn’t become clear yet, ISFPs sharply divide people into “them” and “our own”, and they can be confrontational with people of “our own” (usually family members and close friends) (how confrontational depends on subtype) in a parent-like way, to teach them a lesson (by imposing their opinions and values onto them) “I know what’s best for you and you’ll thank me later for it*”, *this is what ‘good parent’ Se is like in the Beebe model’. (the Beebe model is that model which calls the function critical parent, trickster, devilish etc. and calls them “Shadow functions”). The reason ISFPs don’t apply good parent Se to people “others” is because their Se is supervised by Fi-. Fi- is the function that sharply divides people into ‘our own’ or not and for ISFPs, Se is a parent-like function so they won’t use Se- to parent strangers (unless, like I said, they’re standing up for someone who they took “under their wing” which then lets Se manifest as a parent-like “good parent” function).

**: That could as well be critical parent Se in ESxJs, but it manifests in a different way than good parent Se (usually demonstrative Se is more negative than auxiliary Se but not always), although I’ll not go in depth here about ESxJs since this post is about ISFPs and if needed I’ll make a separate post describing the difference in Se between ISxPs and ESxJs. Just keep in mind if they say something like “I know what’s best for you and you’ll thank me later for it” they’re either ISTP, ISFP, ESFJ or ESTJ.

Dominant Fi as we know implies some sort of vulnerability while Se implies some sort of aggression so it would only make sense that the two combined would result in "distancing" or cautiousness in relationships like socionics said. Dominant Fi/inferior Te represses “toughness” and lets true feelings take over logic while auxiliary Se doesn’t want to look like a pussy, basically. This would only make sense to result in cautiousness, sharpness, appearing cold on the outside, and all of those socionics ESI stereotypes.

My current Romanian teacher I would find as a textbook example to use to get your understanding of how ISFPs are because she doesn't fit at all into either of the extremes of MBTI artistic free spirit or socionics traditional strict punishing mother and upholder of traditions but I could see her relate to both at least a slight bit: She being a Romanian teacher (the equivalent of an English teacher for all you 'Muricans, a native language teacher so grammar and literature basically) is basically in a Fi dom's natural habitat teaching that subject: Expresses her thought process freely when analyzing the poems and seems somehow easy going*** although distant**** and unemotional/balanced, speaks calmly and self-controlled (ISFPs NEVER speak in the alpha quadra recalcitrant/irreverent sort of way), and pretty forgiving and chill with us*** to a limit (this depends on an ISFP’s subtype though), although she’d be the kind of person that you’d imagine could be severe with their kids and more chill or unconcerned with the class***.

***: This is because when ISFPs impose their values or are strict with someone they think they are actually doing something good for them (while ESJs think they are punishing them for something), so it would only make sense for them to be less strict/severe with “others” than with people of “their own”, because they don’t really care about “others” and lack of disciplining is actually a sign of unconcern for ISFPs (good parent Se) so that way they show their unconcern with strangers. Whether they actually end up being strict as teachers isn't related directly to them being ISFP but to what their job personally means to the ISFP. This could be influenced by subtype (how seriously they take their job).

****: From Gulenko: “ESI first draws near to a person, then moves away, seeming to probe the individual from all sides, cutting off those who could let them down.”. It is characteristic of ISFPs to act really distant and cold and then the first chance they get to be with one of those persons in a different context they suddenly become much more familiar and informal to them, that way “testing” the people to analyze how they behave and see if they should be trusted. My Romanian teacher seems to do this, although if someone is ISFP that doesn’t mean you ever saw them do it but if you saw someone do that then you can be sure they’re most likely ISFP (or maybe ENFP). He also states it’s very likely for them to test how people react with a prank, and it makes sense.

IF YOU’RE LOW ON TIME YOU CAN READ UP UNTIL THIS POINT AND NOT READ BELOW CUZ THE POST GOT LONGER THAN I WANTED IT TO

edit: Fun fact about ISFP and manners/ceremoniousness: The first thing that comes to mind when I saw ISFP is those funny scenarios in comedy movies/shows (I remember one was in an episode of Regular Show) when someone is at an elegant restaurant and they have to choose between three forks "which one is the salad fork, which one is the desert fork" and everyone is staring at them intensively to see if they get it right lol. That doesn't mean that all ISFPs are retarded with forks, ENTPs make up convoluted and unusual theories right, but other ENTPs are the first ones to disagree and try to prove them wrong as well, right? I'd imagine while all people who seriously do that are most likely ISFPs, not all ISFPs do that at all, actually other, probably younger, ISFPs would be the first one to disagree and say they're exaggerating. What being ISFP means is simply elegance and ceremoniousness in certain carefully chosen areas. Think of French people, think of a man with a beret on speaking in an overly-french accent talking about how grandonissimo their art is and how ceremonious and artistic some shit is. You can see how the French beret artist is right in between the artistic ISFP stereotype and the traditionalist ESI stereotype. All 3 are just different kinds of ISFPs: The upholder of traditions ESI who beats you if you don't know that salad and meat are not eaten with the same fork is looking at ceremoniousness and manners in everyday life, the French beret dude is looking at elegance in a mime or something and the artistic MBTI ISFP is looking at perfection and grandiosity in art. 3 different ways how FiSeNiTe could manifest.

Because that's what Fi is. Fi tells us to treat ourselves better than what survival demands (introverted: comparing things with each other; feeling=energy emitted between entities; Fi=how much you empower others, how much power you have in comparison to others) and auxiliary Se implements them into direct action, it looks at how we treat ourselves better in everyday life (sensing) rather than in the big issues (like feminist INFPs, FOR EXAMPLE).

I have to say I agree with the socionics perspective that they have an extremely high sense of duty, commitment is all the way in the agenda of Fi, commitment is a judgment, 100% a decision so there's no way commitment could be Si, which is an irrational/perceiving function.

Also, personalityjunkie, ISFPs are not optimistic…. or at least definitely not any more optimistic than INFPs.. Read what Fi- (ISFP) is like compared to Fi+ (INFP). Btw, that profile is shit, mostly because what they call ISFP is ISFJ (for the most part) and what they call ISFJ is sort of ISFP (for the most part again), although there is a lot of overlapping which makes it even worse since you can’t switch them and use the ISFJ profile as a reference of how ISFPs are either.

If I had to choose what I’d find the best ISFP profiles right now (obviously including this post) I’d say

1. Gulenko’s profile (as with all types)

2. This one: https://archives.asclaria.org/arende....com/ISFP.html (with some mistakes here and there)

3. This post: https://www.stellarmaze.com/isfp-bul...llied-or-both/ (with some mistakes as well)

The socionics approaches such as the sociotype.com ESI description or the wikisocion ESI composite are too exaggerated in my opinion while the MBTI-based ones are straight up horrible, most of the time.

I tried to leave out information about artistic abilities and creativity as much as possible because I’m not sure exactly how it manifests, I’m still trying to figure it out myself. However what I can do is copy-paste some conversations I had with u/doctormolotov and others about the subject:

molo: “ISFP societies are conservative. Vulnerable Ne- leads to distrust of alternatives. ‘There's one right way for people to be!’”. After other European countries are accepting of gay people for a while they will change their mind. ISFPs just need other people to do a thing first and see it works before they try it.” This is how France legalized gay marriage.

Me: “So I suppose Romania (an isfp culture) will legalize weed in about 10 years because ISFP cultures just copy that other European cultures do it as well?

molo: Oh definitely. And we'll just pretend like it's normal and it was always this way. Gay marriage too.

peppermint: it's funny because even though Romania is often described as conservative, I feel like all of the conservative political opinions are kind of...placeholders, like outfits they wear until they can admit that actually they don't care as soon as it's not socially dangerous to do so.

molo: That's exactly how it is. Just like France changed back and forth from radical to traditionalistic 20 times and each time the majority was super in favor. It's just trends/aesthetics basically.”

Someone else (who is isfp): “I'm having an identity crisis. What makes isfps important to society?”

Molo: “Trends and beliefs in society are in large parts decided by ISFPs. Both introducing a new trend in to popularity and preserving an older tradition from phasing out are ISFP jobs.”

Me: “How can they be the ones to START them if they never try things that are not done by someone else? Being the starter of a trend means you try things that no one else has tried before (which I suppose is Ne - breakthrough discoveries) but that doesn't align with what you said about vulnerable Ne-.”

Molo: ” They don't only care about what's socially appropriate. They like to creep people out. ISFPs are way more daring in regards to Art and philosophy than in any other domain. But even there what they mostly do is recombine things that exist but no one cares about into a package that has huge mass appeal. Skrillex didn't set out to make a new genre. He just made dubstep but in an ISFP way. And while dubstep before was a super obscure genre his stuff was hugely popular. So popular that people had to come with a new name for it (bro-step) to differentiate it from normal dubstep. (..) Anyway, I can tell you for sure ISFPs are the way I described. The rest is up to you.”

PS: I live in Romania, an ISFP culture, so if you want to have another perspective of ISFPs you can compare Romanian culture with French culture, both really different cultures who are both ISFP because the more different two people or two cultures of the same type are then the more likely it is that the only things they have in common is only what the actual type represents.

IEIs and cruelty

How do other people feel about this? I find that IEIs on here can have this false reputation of being easily hurt sugar plumb princesses that couldn't hurt anybody else and are always the ones that are hurt but I have found this to be quite retarded and misleading..... (similar to the EII thing) I mean, I've been cruel before. Maybe as a response of others being so nasty to me but it still didn't make it right and I wasn't proud of myself for acting that way. I guess in a sense I am even more dangerous because I know how to be cutting and trailer trash sociopathic-like but I also know how to play nice when I want something and a lot of people that are more 'pure evil' so to speak lack my manipulation skills. Though also I know I'm not all that bad and can be a genuinely good person with some guidance and the innocent angel thing is annoying but also has some truth to it or something. Like weirdly both wrong and right at the same time.

I think I have a problem with empathy in a way but if I do something wrong I do feel genuine guilt. I just don't really like to constantly pay attention to how this would make that or this person feel (unless of course I absolutely had to for whatever reason) - it would drive me crazy. So I can frequently get in trouble with what I say because I'm basically not really filtering myself for everybody else.

I also noticed that when two IEIs get together they can really know what to say to get under the other's skins haha. Sometimes the mutual IEI affection/understanding is there but also they know how to push buttons well when they are having a fight.

What do you all think?

Feel free to ask questions. I don't want to put up a video or pictures simply because I'd like to keep my private life separate from my internet persona.

Note:
The grammar may be off. This started early and ended very late due to other commitments, so I was exhausted through half of this post.

Tell me about yourself.

22M, university graduate. Educational background in IT. Generally happy, though rarely satisfied. No mental illnesses officially diagnosed, though it has been suggested that I am a psychopath.

What do you study or do for a living? How did you come to do that? What do you like or dislike about it?
Information Technology and Cybersecurity.

I saw it as an opportunity to make a good wage without spending upward of 100 hours a week. It offers enough advancement that I could move up the chain and transition into business later on.

I don’t like studying IT for its own sake. I can stomach reading 400 pages a week of business material, but I don’t enjoy more than about 50 pages of IT material in the same timeframe.

What are your values, and why?
  • Power/Influence: The ability to affect change as you see fit is self-explanatory, and the ability to convince others to act on your behalf can get you anywhere in life.
  • Competence: In addition to being able to influence others, everyone needs at least a minimal amount of competence in the region which they intend to influence.
  • Independence: This is a crippling fear more than anything else. Being forced to depend on another person is a terrifying notion.

Only my core three. Everything else can be structured under those broad categories.

What else do you do on a daily basis? What are your interests and hobbies? Why do you do them?
  • Daily: Wake up, quick morning routine (drink water, exercise, brush teeth, shave, shower), then jump into whatever needs to be done. In bed when I'm good and tired and know I won't be able to function tomorrow without sleep. I'm working on setting habits for sleep like I did for my morning, because routines don't come naturally to me.
  • Interests: Psychology, History, War, Business (Management, Leadership, Finance, Marketing, Strategy, etc), and some Philosophy.
  • Hobbies: Video games, reading, debates, thinking, and hanging out with friends. All the games and books I play/read are related to my primary interests, debating helps sharpen my understanding of things (as does thinking), and I just enjoy being with friends.

Describe your relations with family and friends. What do you like and dislike about them?
  • Mother (SEI-ISFp): 99% confident of type. We get along alright, but we don't really understand each other. She's very interested in things being comfortable for herself and everyone else, while I don't generally care. She also likes to tell me how I've done something unethically that I simply can't see as unethical (especially regarding monetary/capital reasons).
  • Brother (IEE-ENFp): 95% confident of type. Honestly, he annoys me. The nonstop ideas with no practical (even if far-flung) basis paired with his penchant for accepting crackpot theories all the time makes our interactions fairly negative. I've had to learn how to work with him to make our interactions less painful, but it's not been easy.
  • Father (?): He believes that I overthink everything, but I just prefer to develop a general outline before action. If something simply isn't feasible, I won't waste my energy on it. He still will, in many cases. Right now, he's working on a "novel" that has so many problems my editor friend actually said she couldn't edit it.
  • Grandfather (?): He was my mentor, and we got along like two peas in a pod. There's a high probability that we metabolized information in the same way. Suave, charismatic, strong-willed. He was condemnably lazy, but always got things done - often using nothing but his influence.

What do you look for in friends? In romantic relationships?

I genuinely don't have many friends - maybe two in total. I have a lot of acquaintances, but few friends.

For friends, I look for people who are a lot like myself. For romantic partners, I'm looking for a fairly submissive individual, without much ambition in life, who will gladly take a backseat to my goals.

What conflicts have you encountered recently with other people? Why did they happen? Which kinds seem to happen on a regular basis?
Ethical conflicts are king. I act, someone complains about my actions, and I never understand why. I simply don't understand how convincing someone to do something (without force or coercion) could ever be unethical.

Entitlement is another big one. I'm usually able to seem accommodating, but nothing irritates me more than people who think they are owed something just for being alive.

How would your friends describe you?
My friends and family would describe me as smart, witty, pragmatic, and ambitious, but also arrogant and lazy.

What do people generally see as your strengths? What do you like about yourself?
My wit, sense of humor, resilience, willpower, and competence for both.

What are your weaknesses? What criticism do you often face from others? What do you dislike about yourself?
I have very little, if any, empathy for those who aren't family. I'm often criticized for being "unethical" or "immoral," not considering the human element when making decisions, though I always see it as pragmatic. In reality, my emotions, ethics, and values are quite shallow, and I just put on a face to make people believe that I am whoever they want me to be until I am in a position of authority where I don't need to pretend.

In what areas of life can you manage well on your own? In what areas of your life would you like help?
I'm an excellent self-starter, great at managing time and resources, responsible with money, and decent at connecting with humans. By all accounts, I'm an adept social navigator, witty, and charming.

I'd like help devising detailed long-term strategies for things. I can build a short-term (6 month - 12 month) plan for something and do it successfully, but my ability to think far ahead is limited.

What things do you dislike doing? What things do you enjoy more than others?
I HATE dealing with stupid people. If I have to explain something more than twice in simple language, you can kindly go shove your question up your rear end. Teaching is probably part of this, but it is enjoyable if the people you're teaching are competent.
I love reading and studying, but only for a limited time. I have no interest in combing through hundreds of pages of material a day to find a nugget of gold - I'd much prefer a brief summary that I can act on.
I hate sitting around doing nothing. Even playing my favorite video games is boring after 25-30 minutes.

What goals, aspirations, or plans do you have for the future? How did you come to have them?

I'd like to rise through the ranks of an organization and obtain real power, not the petty 1 on 1 stuff I do now. I'd like to obtain an an MS in Comp Sci or Cybersecurity on the road there, plus an MBA from a top school just for the prestige.

If you had enough money to live comfortably for the rest of your life without working, what would you do with your time?
Politics and/or management. Money is not the goal in and of itself, and I would pursue power as an end if money was no longer a concern.

What traits do you find endearing that others might dislike? What traits are considered positive/neutral by others but tend to annoy you?
I don't really have an answer for the first one. Regarding the second question, I find completely unbound imagination and fierce individualism to be, at best, really irritating.

What kinds of things do you do to manage and/or beautify your environment (your room, your house, etc.)? What do you think of daily chores?
I like to keep my environment reasonably clean. I'm also a minimalist of sorts, so I don't really use things to beautify the environment. For me, it's function over form. If the bed can be slept on and the shower is hot, I don't care what it looks like.

How do you behave around strangers?
Cool, collected, and confident. I usually seem open with strangers, sort of just doing what seems like it will work best.

How do you react to conflict? What do you do if somebody insults or attacks you?
I thrive on conflict, and won't shy away unless it would be detrimental to engage. If someone insults me, I'll turn on the dark side of my wit. If someone actually attacks me, I'm going to kick them into the stone age.

What is one common misconception that people have? Explain why it is wrong.
That science is always correct. We have a wide variety of examples through history when science declared something to be the truth when, in fact, their observations were inherently limited and it was simply an assumption.

What did you do last Friday?
Contacted a lot of local businesses about job openings and filed close to thirty applications.

What is your biggest accomplishment?

Finished four years of University in two years with a lot of planning and hard work. Then obtained a professional certification that takes most people at least two years in less than six months.

What is something you regret?
I can't think of a single thing I actually regret in this life. If I could do it again, there are certainly things I would change, but only to optimize or improve, not to fix a mistake or negative action.

Who do you admire, and why?
  • Alexander the Great: Managed to conquer a massive portion of the world in only a few short years. Great military commander, innovator, and tactician.
  • Augustus Caesar: Managed to bamboozle the Roman senate into giving him more power with an exquisite Catch-22 ruse.
  • Hannibal Barca: Nearly managed to defeat Rome when vastly outnumbered.

What's been on your mind? Has anything been worrying or concerning you? What problems have you encountered lately?
Lots of things - too verbose to list here. I'm currently concerned with getting my foot in the door in a professional capacity, but I'm always thinking about something. The biggest problem is the job hunt, plus I've been analyzing typology (MBTI and Socionics) and thinking about finance.

What are your religious or spiritual beliefs and why do you hold them?
I'm essentially agnostic. Not really sure why, I just am.

What are your political beliefs, and why? To what extent do you care about politics?

Centrist libertarian, because I don't see the point in violating someone's human rights (life, liberty, property) for some arbitrary reasons. I'm not too political, but I stay updated on the news when possible.

Would you ever be interested in starting a business? Why or why not? What role would you play in it? What kind of business would it be?
Yes. Great potential upside if it all goes well, and enough effort can increase the likelihood of it going well. Obviously management, but also acting in a technical capacity. I'd probably aim toward something in the tech industry.

What kind of work environment do you prefer? What do you look for in a job?

Open and somewhat unstructured. I don't need someone breathing down my neck all the time, because I'll get my job done on time.

I look for a challenge (with the training necessary to handle the challenge), decent pay, and room for advancement in a job.

What is or was your favorite school subject and why?
Management. I liked the top-down view more than the bottom-up view.

How do you approach responsibility? What do you tend to expect of others?
It really depends on the responsibility. If it's something I truly despise, I'll do everything in my power to pass it off to someone else.
I expect that others can do what I can do in most cases.

Where did you go on your most recent vacation? What did you do there? How did you like it and why?
I haven't had a vacation since I was 15, and I don't remember much about it. I take a day here and there to sleep in, play a game, and hang with friends, but no real vacations.

What were you like as a kid? How have you changed since you were a child?
Childhood me has been described as contemplative, friendly, warm, and caring. Now I'm contemplative, act warm, appear friendly, and honestly don't care about most people.

What was your high school experience like?
I was homeschooled through high school, so I can't really answer.

Talk about a significant event from your life.
When I was 11, I saw a child in a stroller start careening down a hill toward a concrete wall. My instincts kicked in and I somehow managed to grab him right before he smashed into the wall, breaking my arm in the impact. I think he sprained his neck, but was okay.

Do you like kids? Why or why not?
Depends on the kid. I don't like annoying or disgusting people, and children are often both of those things.

If you were to raise a child, what would be your main concerns, what measures would you take, and why?
Their physical health, mental health, intelligence, and how successful they would be. As it's been suspected that I may be a psychopath and a narcissist, I already know that I wouldn't want my child to inherit any problems I may have. Thus, it's very tough to do a "what if" analysis on a situation that will never happen.

Ever feel stuck in a rut? If yes, describe the causes and your reaction to it.

Not really. My job hunt is a bit of a rut, but I had a backup plan prior to it becoming an issue.

How do you see other people as a whole? What do you consider a prevalent social problem? Name one.
As a whole? An irrational species ruled by emotions that cloud our ability to actually think clearly. A prevalent social problem is the perception of prevalent social problems that don't exist (you know who you are).

What do you do if you're not getting what you want? What approach do you use?

Step 1: Create a plan to get what I want. Step 2: Execute plan. Step 3: Claim reward.
Seriously, how complicated can someone's methodology get here?

Are you comfortable taking leadership roles? In what areas? Why or why not?
Yes. Any areas I'm competent in. I excel in leadership, so it's a natural fit for me.

How often do you get angry? What kinds of things make you angry?
A few times a day. Actions that are reckless and uncontrolled, especially when they are built entirely on impulse with no thought behind them. That and stupidity.

What is the purpose of life? What do you find personally meaningful in life?
To dominate and succeed. All else is moot, in the long haul.

What is the most interesting place you have been, and why?
The Grand Canyon. Only national landmark I ever went to. If I had the money, I'd fly to Paris and check out the city.

How do you dress or manage your appearance?
I love the feeling of wearing suits, but am too poor to wear them every day. My daily garb is a dress shirt, slacks, Oxford shoes, and sometimes a tie thrown in for good measure. Always clean-shaven, can't stand facial hair.

It's currently all about sprezzatura.

Do you like surprises?
I'm largely indifferent, but it depends on the surprise and what plans of mine you'll be mixing around.

This is curiosity more than anything. I have stumbled upon her channel a few weeks ago, and I've been immediately polarised by her personality. I love her rants and the way she goes into doing her gameplays and commentaries. I think I'm in love (too bad she's my senior by a long shot and engaged).

Hormones aside, she's an ex-porn star who's now transitioned to YouTube, but I honestly really overlooked that part. All I cared about was her hair and personality honestly. Go!

So Harvey Weinstein might been SLE-D.

The D SLE is typical leader, make big impact by force. If any SLE is a player it is probably the D SLE. I guess they are the most harsh ones and force so that they always have the last word.

The C SLE might be the football player having that area of creativity to it. I guess they can be involved in a music band or such.

The N SLE is the typical corporate worker making the corporation successful. Hard worker. The stable SLE.

The H SLE is lose and just chill, drink beers, watching football and spending time with the pals. Maybe into fitness.

Hello, I hope anyone reading this is doing well. During my time lurking around forums on mbti, enneagram, and socionics, I was sometimes lead to a link to here that I could never access (and that seemed to have some interesting information). Made an account to peacefully continue my information binge, and to maybe add something to the conversations on here.
:agent: Well, I guess I'll reveal a little bit about myself since I'm required to post anyway lol
My music tastes are pretty random, from Björk to Bolt Thrower to Hector Lavoe. My favorite visual artists are H.R. Giger and Jan van Eyck. I have an on and off intense interest in mbti, and only recently got into socionics. The information on intertype relations and subtypes is really fascinating. I don't really have a favorite movie, but I do catch myself rewatching Hellraiser here and there (it has it's issues, but overall is interesting enough to draw me back). My favorite thing to do...is sleep tbh

Hi everyone :) I am new here. I'm lately thinking about my type. Could you help me find my type? :) I filled the questionnaire from main topic. If you want my photos, I could give something in private message.

Tell me about yourself.
Hello! I’m spontaneous and curious. I like long walks, spending time with my friends and I really love my bed (my mystery lover :3). I don’t like talking about work, people behavior (but sometimes if there are my friends I like thinking and talking about their future and how I can help them to improve their reality) and money. I love trips, hitchhiking. Sometimes I’m so lazy that world could ended in my bed, but sometimes I have some many energy, that I could infected other. My friends always describe me like a person who has a lot of new ideas, witty, intelligent but also sometimes I could be tactless, embarrassing, heartless or categoric. Sometimes I have a lot of second-thoughts about my choices, but also I think that I’m flexible and is easy to me to drop everything and do crazy thing. I think that one of my weakness and the same time my advantage is my sense of humor. It’s weakness because sometimes people don’t know when I’m joking, but when I look at this like an advantage - it helps me not to give up when hard time comes.

What do you study or do for a living? How did you come to do that? What do you like or dislike about it?
I studied law. Law is the most theoretical field and needs short, good answers. When I’ve been in fourth semester, I decided to choose employment legislation, because it’s always connected with people. Now, when all my mates from studies doing something like “aplications” to improve their laws skills, I’m working for corporation in HR department. I think that for now, this is good decision, but I don’t think that I will do this for all of my life. I see so many paths, so I would rather try everything what is connected with HR or law 😊 What I like in my work? I think, that there are so many options I can choose, but also I think that this could be some trap (because of too many options and hesitation). Also I think, that even I didn’t like studying law, this opened me to many ways which I can choose, and because of it I didn’t think that it was a total waste of my time. Sometimes I think that anything I choose, it wouldn’t be good enough.

What are your values, and why?
I really appreciate, when people, who surrounds me, care about comfort, have good taste of music and love cooking. Also I like people who pull me out of my home and brings me to parties, other people and care about my health. Sometimes I think that I cannot make this stuff alone, even if I really try.

What else do you do on a daily basis? What are your interests and hobbies? Why do you do them?
Nothing special. Sometimes I’m reading articles, learning english from youtubers, writing with my friends, do some physical exercise to improve my health and for be in good shape. But I would rather do exercises which are comfortable for me (f.e. some long walks), than doing hard and strict exercise and diet to get short effects.

Describe your relations with family and friends. What do you like and dislike about them?
It hard to say about my relations. I don’t have a lot friends, maybe a few. I think that I couldn’t sense it. I don’t know when relations starts and ends, sometimes I don’t feel boundaries and I’m asking for a really private things, which aren’t propriate. Also I think that it’s very hard for me to keep the relationship. I can be too overprotective and in the same time didn’t pay attention to that. What else? I think that I have a really strong connection with my brother, he’s my friends. I like spending time with him, even we don’t speak and doing other things. I don’t remember about calling to my parents or grandma and this is only a duty for me. I like about my family and friends that I’m not feel wirdo with them, I can be 100% me. What I dislike about them? That sometimes they haven’t time for me and I’m feeling that they just forget that I am exist, also sometimes they are too honest with me and can say that I did something wrong or inappropriate.

What do you look for in friends? In romantic relationships?
Sensitivity, protectiveness, warmth, good sense of humor, trust.

What do people generally see as your strengths? What do you like about yourself?
My boyfriend always tell me, that he appreciate me because of my strength, independence, intelligence, warmth and sense of humor. He describes this in sentence: “you have couriosity in your eyes”.
I like in myself that I’m independent and also I can to put on a brave face even in really tough situations. Because of that, I think that nothing can destroy me.

What are your weaknesses? What criticism do you often face from others? What do you dislike about yourself?
Sometimes my friends tell me that I can’t feel other people barriers and because of it, I can hurt them.

In what areas of life can you manage well on your own? In what areas of your life would you like help?
I think that in my career I can rely on myself and doing it good, but if I have to care about my health, comfort or relations – I wanted in that fields some help.

What things do you dislike doing? What things do you enjoy more than others?
I don’t like repeatable activities, like a work with documents. I like multitasking, when I couldn't feel bored.

What goals, aspirations, or plans do you have for the future? How did you come to have them?
There are a lot of plans. They just show up.

If you had enough money to live comfortably for the rest of your life without working, what would you do with your time?
I would be travelling, meeting with friends or organizing parties.

How do you react to conflict? What do you do if somebody insults or attacks you?
I usually stay calm, even when someone react too emotionally. Sometimes I can tell with calm and cold tone, that I don’t appreciate to treat me like a “emotionally bin” (it means being too overemotional to me).

What is one common misconception that people have? Explain why it is wrong.
Sometimes, people think that if I am a girl, I probably feel lost and their should help me. That deduction is always wrong. Sometimes my face can tell other, that I am sad or disappointed and always I must explain that is my typical facial expression.

What did you do last Friday?
Stayed at home and celebrated silence and loneliness.

What are your religious or spiritual beliefs and why do you hold them?
I’m atheist. I believe only in hope and human possibilities, their brain, heart.

Would you ever be interested in starting a business? Why or why not? What role would you play in it? What kind of business would it be?
I don’t think so. It’s too much for me and I would feel too overwhelmed. I can give an advice or idea, but I don’t want to be a head of this.

What kind of work environment do you prefer? What do you look for in a job?
Independence. Work should improve my skills and gives me opportunities. Without it, I quickly get bored and quit this job.

What is or was your favorite school subject and why?
Literature and english lessons.

What were you like as a kid? How have you changed since you were a child?
I was curious, independent and friendly kido. I usually spent all day with my friends in fun. When I came to school, I separated from my village friends, also my mother started be mentally ill and I became shy and outsider.

Do you like kids? Why or why not?
I like kids. They are so cute. I always think that they are small copy of their parents 😊.

If you were to raise a child, what would be your main concerns, what measures would you take, and why?
I would give my child a lot of independence and taught them life without Internet. I would rather give them a board games, sign up for extra classes. I just want them to think, be creative and intelligent and always rely on themselves.

What do you do if you're not getting what you want? What approach do you use?
I rather give up, than fight for it.

Are you comfortable taking leadership roles? In what areas? Why or why not?
No. I don’t like be overwhelmed with expectations.

How often do you get angry? What kinds of things make you angry?
I can’t say how often. Sometimes I really get angry, especially when I cannot find thing that I really need at that moment or I get different food than that I ordered.

Best wishes,
dormeur.

Just returned from the cinema! Here the typings as promised. Review, opinions, and overall discussion: in @aster's thread.

The overall movie represents and often brings up social 6 topics. As usual, Beta and Gamma are at war, Alpha and Delta themes are not very pronounced.

T'Challa - ExI-Fi SO/SP 612 (Phobic, was hard to type because introtim. But in his speech to his father at the end Ij came out strong. Ethics without a doubt)
Okoye - SLE-Ti SO/SX 6 (Glaring PoLR, duty and loyalty to Wakanda and it's royal hierarchy over personal affection)
Erik - :Ni: :Se:, I prefer logics for him, SO/SP 136
W'Kabi - :Ni:
Ramonda - Ij?
Nakia - ESI SX/SO 2
Klaue - ESE-Fe 7w6 (Andy Serkis plays his own type!)
Shuri 4D :Te:, maybe LSE SX/SP
Everett Ross - EII?
M'Baku - 4D :Fe: and :Se:, I prefer ESE. SO/SP 8w7
